Drunk driving accident results in one death

A 54-year-old man from Balasesti village of Sangerei district was crushed under the wheels of a car on April 12. According to the Traffic Police Division, the driver was under the influence and did not have a license. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, mayor of Balasesti Gheorghe Chetraru said the 20-year-old driver did not stop to help the pedestrian. He was arrested later, after he crashed his car into a pole. The mayor said the victim was a good man. His wife had died and he lived alone. Their two children have their own families and live separately. The case is investigated by the Sangerei Police Commissariat.
