The current government coalition needs at least four more years to successfully complete the European integration process, the president of honor of the Democratic Party (PDM) Dumitru Diacov said in the program “Fourth power” on N 4 channel, IPN reports.
According to Diacov, time is needed for the population to understand which the correct development path is and to get rid of provincialism so that they do not vote for a party that appeared overnight. “In Germany and France, the parties do not need so many slogans and populist statements to be elected. The people there will never vote for a party that appeared overnight,” he said.
Dumitru Diacov also said he expects the pro-European parties of the current or previous governments to enter the future Parliament to form a pro-European coalition. “It would be ideal for a party to hold a majority of seats of MP, but this is not real now. That’s why we will need to form again a pro-European coalition,” he stated.
In the same program, the founder of the PDM leveled criticism at the party leaders who say they will definitely not form a post-electoral coalition. “The pro-European parties that will enter Parliament will have to reach a consensus and to form the Government during a week. It’s not real for a party that got 20 seats of MP to dictate everything. This party will promote 20% of its electoral platform and must allow the other parties of the coalition to fulfill the promises they made to the voters,” said Dumitru Diacov.
The president of honor of the PDM noted that some of the parties involved in the electoral race must be investigated to see what relations they have with the radical groups.
