The Democratic Party (PDM) will contribute to the formation of the future government. This does not necessarily mean that it will assume responsibility for governance, but it will definitely be in power, the party’s president of honor Dumitru Diacov stated in the program “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
“Without the Democratic Party, it is impossible to have a government the coming years,” stated Dumitru Diacov. He noted that the Democrats will no way form a coalition with the Socialists in the future Parliament if the current formula of the Party of Socialists and the current slogans of this are kept.
“The Democratic Party was founded in 1996 as a factor of balance in the Republic of Moldova. We have the right and the left that do not cooperate between them. There is not durable government that would ensure Moldova’s movement in a particular direction and that would situate itself between the radical right and the radical left. We built the PDM namely as a bridge between these two camps. This is the historical mission of the PDM,” stated Dumitru Diacov.
He noted he would like the Democrats to be in government in the future legislative body and opposition of the right and opposition of the left to exist in this.
