The EasyWay application by which the inhabitants of Chisinau could follow online the location of trolleybuses remains nonfunctional. The administration of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company said it is having talks with the business entity responsible for the functioning.
Contacted by IPN fir details, the Company’s director Dorin Chernyi said that if the business entity meets the conditions and remedies all the defects, the project will continue. If not, the contract will be terminated. A time limit for this wasn’t set.
Dorin Chernyi also said that the Chisinau Electric Transport Company until now hasn’t paid anything to the company that implemented the service. Not all the devices in the 350 units of transport were put into operation. Only 250 trolleybuses could be followed through the agency of the application. “We are ready to go on with the project, but the system should be fully functional first,” he stated.
The inhabitants of Chisinau now cannot follow online the location of trolleybuses running in the capital city after the company that implemented the service suspended it for the reason that the Chisinau Electric Transport Company didn’t make the agreed payments. The application contains data about the public transport running in the municipality, such as stations, number of trolleybuses, routes and costs, and can be connected to the monitoring system through GPS.
