Edelweiss Foundation and Prime TV 'succeed together'

The Foundation for Moldova's Development Edelweiss and the TV channel Prime launched on Tuesday a public awareness campaign titled “Together We Succeed” to promote partnership for helping the underprivileged and promoting successful practices for the development of Moldova, the Foundation said in a press release. “We decided to cooperate with different organizations and join our civic efforts to help certain categories of people who need our help very much. The funds available for these people are quite limited and the public opinion is often directed towards other issues. So this campaign is an appeal for solidarity to other similar organizations, goodhearted business people who should team up to the benefit of these citizens of ours”, said Edelweiss founder Vlad Plahotniuc. According to the press release, the campaign helped to save a child with a congenital heart defect, donate home appliances and replace the double-glazing installations at an orphanage, make other donations for a retirement home in Straseni. The Edelweiss Foundation is a non-governmental, nonprofit and apolitical organization founded by businessman Vlad Plahotniuc to create equitable opportunities for talented and disadvantaged people in Moldova. All the Foundation's initiatives stem from the belief that everyone deserves to have the opportunity to attain his or her full potential to contribute to the development of society.
