Education Ministry announces winning projects of Youth Grants Program

Thirty projects became winners of the Youth Grants Program 2022. These will receive a total of about 6 million lei, which will be allocated from the state budget, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education and Research.

The winning projects envision the development of active citizenship and strengthening of civic spirit among the young people, promotion of volunteering activities, training of youth workers, improvement of digital skills and support for learning activities in the mass media, stimulation of youth participation in the decision-making process and development of services to ensure the young people’s access to the labor market.

The beneficiaries of the 30 winning projects will be about 16,000 young people, teachers, parents, representatives of local public authorities and the private sector. The young people will be involved in campaigns, contests, fairs, festivals, forums, seminars, roundtables meeting, exhibitions, debates, official meetings, production of radio and TV programs.

Also today, the Government decided that 17 local public authorities will get co-financing tot the total value of 1 million lei for supporting district/municipal grants programs intended for youth organizations and youth imitative groups. The Ministry of Education and Research will coordinate and monitor the implementation of local grants programs and will allocate the necessary financial resources after receiving the applications for financing.
