The Technical University of Moldova could obtain the right to provide doctoral programs in the specialty “Thermo-technique. Thermal machines and refrigerating installations”. This is provided in a supplement to a Government decision proposed by the Ministry of Education for public debates, IPN reports.
The Ministry also suggests offering the right to organize higher doctoral education to the Institute of Zoology and the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. These are members of the Council of the Doctoral School of Biological Sciences that belongs to the University Academic Consortium.
By the decision of November 15, 2015, which is to be supplemented, the Government allowed organizing doctoral programs of study at 11 universities, ten national consortiums, an international consortium and three partnerships, by authorizing the functioning of 43 doctoral studies and their doctoralprograms. The choice was made by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education after assessing 46 applications.
The provision of the right to organize doctoral studies to education establishments is stipulated in the Education Code.
