The second round of voting to choose the own representative to the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia in Congaz district will cost 83,000 lei. Such a decision was taken by the Comrat Election Commission in a meeting on March 25, IPN reports.
Three persons ran for the vacant post of deputy of the People’s Assembly in the given constituency in the first round of voting. None of them gained yet the necessary number of votes to win the seat. Two candidates who won the largest number of votes in the first round will compete in the second round on April 5. These are Vitalie Chiurcciu and Ivan Telpiz, Petru Ianacov being excluded from the race.
The partial elections for the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia were announced after the representatives of the constituencies Gaidar and Congaz, Fiodor Gagauz and Demian Caraseni, entered Moldova’s Parliament. In Gaidar, the deputy was elected by the first round of voting. This is Zinaida Popaz, who was the only candidate running in elections.
