Since morning the elections have taken place smoothly, without serious problems or violations, according to the OSCE international observers. “We visited a number of polling places. The atmosphere is normal and we were received well,” said Arta Dade, head of the Delegation of Observers of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
“Everything is ok. We noticed nothing usual or some unordinary situations,” confirmed the head of the OSCE short-term observation mission at the parliamentary elections in Moldova Emin Onen. He said the mission he heads has been in Moldova for two days and had a number of meetings with politicians and NGOs. Tomorrow they will give a news conference to announce the preliminary results of the election monitoring and assessment process.
