The 35 electoral councils of second level electoral constituencies for the general local elections of October 20 were set up. A decision in this regard was adopted by the Central Election Commission at the meeting on Friday, August 30, IPN reports.
According to legal provisions, they consist of an odd number of members, of at least 7 and at most 11 persons, of which at least three persons with higher legal studies or studies in the field of public administration. The applicants are proposed by the court or, as the case may be, by district, municipal councils, as well as by parties and other social-political organizations represented in the Parliament. In case the number is not sufficient, it is completed by the CEC from the Register of electoral officials.
The CEC entitled the electoral councils to create, by September 14, the polling stations and, by September 24, the electoral bureaus of polling stations.
On October 20, 2019 there will be held general local elections, but also snap parliamentary elections in four uninominal constituencies no.17, 33, 48 and 50.
