Emergency medical services will be reorganized

The National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine will be reorganized by absorbing the Chisinau Emergency Medical Assistance Station under a decision made by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Health Vladimir Hotineanu said the implementation of the decision will allow eliminating the dual emergency medical assistance services provided for the population. On the other hand, the joining of the two institutions will ensure a better continuity of the ambulance, emergency and hospital services and will contribute to a better quality of the services provided owing to the coordinated management of the three types of medical assistance services. Hotineanu said the optimization of the emergency medical assistance will help increase the efficiency of the Aviasan Service. It will be integrated into the National Clinical Hospital as it provides specialized hospital assistance to patients in a serious condition treated in the national hospitals. This hospital provides the largest number of medical services and offers consultancy through the agency of Aviasan. No additional financial resources are required to reorganize the National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine. The personnel of the Chisinau Emergency Medical Assistance Station will be reemployed at the reorganized National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine.
