The National Library during November 11-15 will stage the Science Days, an event dedicated to the World Science Day for Peace and Development. The title of the sixth edition is "Why Science Matters – Engaging the Mind and Developing the Future". The activities will focus on essential issues for the development of science, education and technology, given the increasingly digitally connected society, IPN reports.
The Science Days are organized to contribute to the development of a favorable environment for research and education in Moldova, to the development of the scientific spirit among young people and to the promotion of Moldovan researchers’ scientific achievements internationally.
The National Library organizes a series of activities, training sessions and discussions about the importance of libraries in the digital age and their role in supporting scientific research. The thematic exhibition will focus on the most important achievements of Moldovan researchers, emphasizing their contributions to the development of science at international level.
One of the key moments of the Science Days will be the Forum of Researchers within the National Library System, which will take place on November 11. Participants will have the opportunity to explore research directions in library science and learn about new technologies that are transforming library and research services.
The Science Days are an occasion to reflect on scientific progress and how research can contribute to creating a fair and well-informed society. In this connection, the National Library of the Republic of Moldova joins a global effort to promote science as an essential tool in the development of a better world, as underlined by the World Science Day for Peace and Development, marked worldwide on November 10.
