An entrepreneur from Congaz, employing nearly 40 people and providing catering and event organization services, has become the first beneficiary of financing under the FACEM Investitii BGK program. The funding accessed is intended for the installation of a photovoltaic system with a 40 kW three-phase inverter and 109 solar panels with a total capacity of 59.95 kW, aimed at reducing energy costs and contributing to the business’s energy independence, IPN reports.

According to a press release from the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), the financing granted amounts to 548,000 lei, while the total investment project value reaches 710,000 lei.

Additionally, the entrepreneur will have the opportunity to participate in an international study visit organized by the Solidarity Fund, with all expenses fully covered.

Applicants and beneficiaries of the FACEM Investitii BGK financing product receive a grant in the form of technical assistance, which includes various components. They have access to direct consultancy for developing entrepreneurial skills through 10 thematic training sessions dedicated to SMEs.

Applicants will also receive individual consultancy for preparing credit documentation, in the form of business vouchers ranging from €500 to €1,000, intended for business plan development and financing application preparation.

The program also includes international study visits for 20 SMEs, including the first 10 beneficiaries of the financing product, as well as 10 beneficiaries who have implemented their investment projects and achieved the best results in line with the program’s objectives.

According to ODA, the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova have signed a loan agreement worth €5 million, aimed at supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova in implementing energy efficiency projects.

The loan is supplemented by a grant from the European Union worth approximately €1.6 million. The EU’s support consists of lowering interest rates for loans contracted through BGK financing, as well as providing technical assistance for loan applications and energy audits. The technical assistance activities will be implemented in collaboration with the Polish Solidarity Fund.
