The National Employers Confederation (CNPM) expresses its disagreement with the rise in the mandatory health insurance premium calculated in percentage from the salary and other recompenses. The employers warn that the impact of the given decision hasn’t been discussed with the economic entities and this is a flagrant violation of the legislation on social dialogue, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the CNPM, the representatives of the business sector consider that the health insurance premium can be increased only as a result of the optimization of costs in the health insurance system.
The mandatory health insurance premium calculated in the form of percentage contribution from the salary and other recompenses next year will rise by 1% to 8%, 4% of which is the contribution of employers and the other 4% is the contrition of employees. This is provided in the draft 2014 mandatory health insurance funds law that was approved by the Government on November 27. It is to be passed yet by Parliament.
The companies warn the Government that the implementation of methods that make their activity more difficult will lead to the development of the underground economy. The entrepreneurs call on the MPs to stop the increase in obligations for the business sector.
