Equality Council regulations to be discussed in public debate

The Bill on the Activity of the Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality as well as a set of proposed amendments to the relevant legislation will be discussed in a public debate on Wednesday. The Ministry of Justice said in a press release that the debate will be opened by Minister Oleg Efrim and will bring together MoJ specialists, civil society members, and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations. These pieces of legislation are a follow-up to the Law on Ensuring Equality, which was adopted by Parliament on 25 May 2012 and which takes effect on 1 January 2013.
