Ethno Jazz Festival starts Sept. 28

The 17th Ethno Jazz International Festival is held in Moldova during September 28 - October 5. This year the festival involves almost 40 artists from 15 countries. The concerts are given in Chisinau, Tiraspol, Soroca and Bălți.

Contacted by IPN, the Festival’s director Anatol Ștefaneț said each edition has distinct programs and different jazz bands are invited to take part and the invitees were never the same. “We tried this year too to create a large program. We prepared a series of unique performances and the spectators should not miss the chance of seeing them. The current festival will be an international jazz retrospect with the most valuable jazz stars,” he stated.

The event is opened at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” in Chisinau on September 28, straying at 7pm. Besides concerts, workshops and masterclasses will be staged in Tiraspol, Soroca and Bălți to present the cultural diversity and to promote the values of contemporary society.

In Chisinau, tickets costs 100 to 200 lei. The public in Soroca, Bălți and Tiraspol will have free access to the events held as part of the festival.
