Eugen Doga from hospital: On stage all health problems evaporate

Famed composed Eugen Doga, who is now being treated in hospital for a heart condition, says that despite his health he will participate in the concert “O, libertate, sfântă libertate” on August 30 at the National Palace. “When I'm on stage, all my health problems seem to evaporate”, Eugen Doga told Info-Prim Neo. Eugen Doga is supposed to participate today in a final rehearsal. When contacted by the agency, he was still in hospital, to which he was admitted after he suddenly fell sick at rehearsals five days ago. Doctors say that Eugen Doga is better now and most likely the intensification of his symptoms was due to emotional exertion. The composer was hospitalized last month as well, following a vascular accident. Eugen Doga, 75, is one of the most renowned composers in the post-Soviet space.
