The events dedicated to winter holidays will take place this year in the Great National Assembly Square/PMAN and in the Cathedral square. This was discussed during a meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Ion Chicu and of the general mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, IPN reports.
"All the winter holidays activities must be integrated into a single event. The lack of communication between authorities, which led to organizing two separate holidays should remain in the past”, said the prime minister, quoted in a Government press release.
The mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, endorsed the Prime Minister's approach and asked for support in preparing a holiday as attractive as possible for children.
Two years in a row, on August 31 street in the capital, at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the Christmas Fair was held. A Christmas tree was decorated near "Nicolae Sulac" National Palace, while another Christmas tree was installed by the City Hall in PMAN.
