Executive looking for solutions to increase compensations provided in winter

Representatives of trade unions ask the Government to raise the financial assistance provided to people in need in winter from 135 to 300 lei a month, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a meeting of the National Commission for Collective Negotiations and Consultations, Pentru Chiriac, deputy chairman of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, said the increase of 23.2% in gas tariffs and the expected rise in heat charges will make the persons on low incomes unable to pay the bills. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga told the same meeting that the Government is looking for financial resources to increase these compensations, but it is too early to make prognostications.
