The Army Museum will be housing an exhibition of military uniforms starting with April 29. The collection, which is one of a kind in Moldova, belongs to Colonel Petru Costin, deputy head of the strategic management and international relations division of the Customs Service, Info-Prim Neo reports. About 160 military uniforms have been exhibited in the big hall of the Museum. Twenty-seven of them belonged to generals of the Soviet army. “The oldest uniforms were worn in the World War II, more exactly in 1943, when there were instituted epaulettes,” said Petru Costin. The exhibition was staged with the support of the Embassy of Russia in Chisinau, the Ministry of Defense, the Army Museum and the Customs Service. It forms part of the events dedicated to the Victory Day marked on May 9. The exhibit will be open by end-May.
