Evaluators employed by the Human Rights National Action Plan (HRNAP) find problems in ensuring and observing the right to labor in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo has learnt form the UNDP office in Chisinau. Public hearings on this matter were held on Wednesday, October 22. The key activities carried out by Moldova up to now have been considered at the sitting. Although certain progress has been made, the HRNAO evaluating team find problems. They are generated by the poor remuneration, boosting international migration, the lack of a coherent view on the professional guiding system and professional integration of the disabled. Other hot issues requesting special attention are the lack of interests on behalf of employers, the malfunctioning legal frame and the poor involvement of the authorities in ensuring the employees' right to decent conditions of work. The main achievement were: the improvement of the normative frame regulating the protection of labor, developing national standards and regulating methods concerning production, import, supply, sale, transport, storing or destroying chemicals used in agriculture, creating a labor market info system, launching the Government's site www.jobmarket.gov.md. In 2008, 15,384 vacancies were being occupied offered through the National Employment Agency. Now the Governmental portal offers other 16,731 jobs, 75% for workers and 25% for specialists. The Government's Human Rights National Action Plan is approved for the year 2004-2008.
