More than 100 types of food products with the use-by date expired were discovered in the storehouse of a Chisinau shop. They were assessed at about 1 million lei, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the National Investigations Inspectorate.
The 37-year-old owner of the company, who lives in Chisinau municipality, started to import and distribute food products over three years ago.
The police opened a criminal case against the owner. He is liable to a fine of up to 100,000 lei and will be banned from carrying out certain activities for a period of up to two years.
