Explosion at house of National Bank governor

A grenade exploded at the house of the National Bank governor Dorin Dragutanu last night. It happened at 2:40am, when the governor and the members of his family were at home. In a press release, the General Prosecutor’s Office says that a criminal case was started over this incident, IPN reports.

Nobody was hurt in the blast, when an offensive grenade was thrown towards the governor’s house. Only elements of the construction were damaged.

The investigation is conducted by a joint prosecution group that involves prosecutors and investigation officers of the police and the Security and Intelligence Service.

The culprit faces a jail term of 8 to 15 years over acts of terrorism.
