Faces of Friends' top prize goes to Ukraine

The trophy of this year's Faces of Friends Festival, together with a money award of 1,000 euros, was awarded to Lenyie Izmailova of Ukraine, the singer who was invited last year as a special guest of the festival, Info-Prim Neo reports. The first prize and a 700 euro award was also won by a representative of Ukraine, Alisa Kosenko. Moldova's representative Victor Balan won the second place and a 500 euro award. 300 euros, and the third place, went to Russia's representative, Asila. Other participants were awarded diplomas. The general partner of the festival, the mobile operator Orange Moldova, represented there by Jerome Poulain, offered a special prize to Irina Tarasiuk: a notebook computer and a modem. The festival's final day was closed by several Moldovan bands: Unbreakable, Single Point, Zdob şi Zdub, and singer Olya Tira. Even if a shower started to fall over Cahul at a certain point, the crowds didn't get scared, acclaiming the Zdubs' performance, which ended exactly at midnight.
