Falun Dafa returns money for tickets to Shen Yun's performance

The association Falun Dafa, which organized Shen Yun's performance, paid back the money for the tickets bought for the canceled performance. The association's leader Tatiana Chiriac has told Info-Prim Neo that about 70% of the disappointed spectators recovered the money between 11.00 and 15.00, while the association protested in front of the Government to find out the reasons why the performance in Chisinau was canceled. During the protest, Falun Dafa collected signatures for a petition that will be sent to Prime Minister Vlad Filat. “We will ask the Premier to order that the Government invite the theater troupe Shen Yun to Moldova. The artists said they will return to Moldova only if they are invited by the Government,” Tatiana Chiriac said. The performance was to take place at the National Opera House on May 25 and 26, after the organizers signed a contract with the host for the sum of 120,000 lei. On May 25, the Opera House's administration announced that the performance is not allowed. 1,300 tickets were sold by then, for 300-1,000 lei. Falun Dafa demands that the National Opera House cover the pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage assessed at 3 million lei. Tatiana Chiriac said no official went out to talk to them since they started to protest. The organizers of the performance accuse the Embassy of China in Chisinau of influencing the Moldovan authorities to ban the performance. “We knelt in front of the communism. The troupe is not angry as they understood the situation because they lived in China that is governed by Communist,” Falun Dafa said.
