Female detainees to enjoy better conditions

Reparation works are under way at the women's penitentiary no.7 from Rusca village. With the help of the Swiss Cooperation for Moldova Bureau, the living block has already been repaired, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from Penitentiary Institutions Department. The Government works to connect the jail to the aqueduct and to build a waste water treatment plant. The amount needed to perform the renovation works is assessed at 2.5 million lei, as they are to finalize by the end of November. On June 27, the Rusca prison was visited by the Department chief ,Vladimir Trofim and the representative of the Swiss Cooperation for Moldova Bureau, Manuel Etter, who wanted to learn how the works go. 838,000 euros have been used to renovate the Rusca prison, as the Government allocated 160,000, while the Swiss development and Cooperation Agency granted 675,000.
