The Women's Organization of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova adopted a resolution saying the measures taken by the central public authorities to better protect the working women and the women with children do not ensure full compliance with the law.
The female trade unionists ask the Government to take steps and solve these problems. “The executive should devote greater attention to the conditions in which the women live and work,” the organization's head Ana Selin told Info-Prim Neo.
In the resolution, the women demand that the first category salary in the budgetary sector be raised from 600 to 900 lei.
The president of the National Confederation of Trade Unions Oleg Budza said the institution became a fully-fledged member of the international trade unions and this makes it more actively engage in the protection of salaried employees' interests.
