Fifteen more cases of pandemic flu

Laboratory tests confirmed 15 more cases of pandemic H1N1/09 virus. The Ministry of Health has announced that a part of these persons have not been in contact with infected persons. Seven cases of pandemic flu have been confirmed at the Informatics College (of 9 cases) and three cases at the High School “Mihai Eminescu" (of 8 cases). By one case of influenza A (H1N1) virus was recorded at the Technical University of Moldova, the State University of Moldova and the Boarding School No. 5, where a person came into contact with an infected person. The university students said they have not been abroad and have not been in contact with persons suffering from flu. All the 15 persons have been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorba”. The persons who have been in contact with the patients are under supervision. Sixty-five cases of pandemic flu have been recorded in Moldova so far.
