Fine for not using cash registers will be raised

The persons who will not use cash registers will be fined 20,000 lei, which is twice more than now. Such a provision is contained in the draft budgetary-fiscal policy for next year that is examined in public debates, IPN reports.

The sellers who will not issue the buyers with sales slip will be fined 10,000 lei, while those who will use defective cash registers or registers that weren’t sealed up by the fiscal body will be fined 20,000 lei.

The fine for removing or destroying the seal put on cash registers intentionally or out of negligence will be 50,000 lei, while for the repeated destruction of the seal will be twice higher.

The carriers that will not give the passengers tickets will be fined 10,000 lei for every violation. The penalty for leaving the auto terminal with passengers without tickets will be 10,000 lei, while the commission of the same violation repeatedly will be penalized with a fine of 25,000 lei. The third such violation will be punished with a fine of 50,000 lei.

The Ministry of Finance, which drafted the bill, suggests allowing importing used tractors younger than 20 years for agriculture, not 12 years as now. It is also proposed exempting the import of agricultural machinery and tractors from VAT.

Deputy Minister of Finance Victor Barbaneagra said the deadline for submitting fiscal reports will be not the last day of the month, but the date of 25. The move is aimed at increasing the efficiency of tax administration.

The tax on private individuals’ revenues of up to 27,852 lei will be 7%, while on incomes larger than this sum – 18%.

The bill will be examined by the Government in two weeks.
