Fire on Uzinelor Street in Chisinau

A fire broke out on Sunday evening, August 19, in a building on Uzinelor Street in the capital, where two companies had offices. According to preliminary information, the fire destroyed two rooms with an area of 300 sq. meters. One was used for producing and selling cash machines and the second one for producing metal nets, Info-Prim Neo reports. Deputy Head of the Chisinau Municipality’s emergencies division Oleg Pisica declared on Monday, August 20, during the City Hall operative meeting that 7 fire trucks manned with 35 fire fighters were deployed to the scene. The firemen localized the fire in an hour and extinguished it in a half an hour. Investigators examine several versions about the source of the fire. State inspectors for supervising firefighting measures will establish the circumstances and exact causes of the fire. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
