Nine donated firefighting vehicles will be used to deal with emergencies in eight communities of Moldova. The vehicles were donated based on a project of cooperation with volunteer firemen of Austria entitled “Firefighting vehicles for the Republic of Moldova”’. The keys of the vehicles were handed over to the mayors of the eight settlements in a ceremony at the head office of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service on July 5, IPN reports.
Owing to the support of Austrian volunteer organizations, the Republic of Moldova received free 30 firefighting vehicles, nine of which were distributed today. Within the same program, Moldovan wrestlers benefit from training courses.
The firefighting vehicles will be used in the districts of Edinet, Drochia, Dubasari, Straseni, Telenesti, Calarasi and Falesti and by the Rescuer Department No. 1 of Chisinau municipality.
