First candidates running in local elections registered

The Chisinau district electoral council on April 21 registered the first election contenders that submitted the necessary documents from Monday, April 18. There were registered eight candidates for mayor of Chisinau of the 11 who filed the documents until Thursday. The others will be registered when the electoral body finishes examining the presented documents. Seven parties were registered as contenders for posts on the Chisinau Municipal Council. Oleg Onishchenko (Our Home Moldova) 6. Igor Dodon (PCRM) 7. Valery Climenco (Ravnopravie) 8. Vitalia Pavlichenko (PNL) Valentina Buliga, of PDM, Maia Laguta, of Moldova’s Patriots Party, and Valeriu Plesca, of the electoral bloc Third Force, lodged the documents, but have not been yet registered.
