First Learning Laboratory for social assistance sector employees

The first Learning Laboratory for employees of the social assistance sector aims to train over 10,000 people. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection on Monday signed with 22 partner organizations a Joint Commitment to support the RESTART Learning Lab. Minister Alexei Buzu said that the Joint Commitment reiterates the development partners’ intention to invest in the professional development of employees working in the social assistance sector, IPN reports.

The RESTART Learning Lab aims to strengthen the social assistance system which consists of 10 local social assistance agencies, 33 local social assistance divisions and 23 public institutions providing social services at regional/local level. It is also an agency for the management of highly specialized social services and 15 placement centers subordinated to it.

During 2024-2025, within the Laboratory, about 5,000 employees will attend training and professional training courses annually. In total, 10,000 people - almost 70% of the system’s employees- are expected to improve their professional skills.
