The first unit in the Republic of Moldova was officially allowed to export fresh, refrigerated and frozen poultry to the European Union. According to the National Food Safety Agency, the right was obtained thanks to the implementation of standards in the field of food safety and based on guarantees from the Agency, IPN reports.
From April 30, 2024, poultry producers can export poultry to the largest market in the world provided that they comply with the sanitary-veterinary and food safety requirements according to the European Union legislation.
Until the April decision, Moldovan economic agents could export only processed poultry and eggs to the EU market. This right was obtained in March 2023.
