Fishing forbidden from April 15

Industrial, commercial, sportive and amateur fishing of all species of fish, mollusks, crustaceans and any other aquatic species in Moldova’s natural waters is forbidden since April 15, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Environment, fishing is forbidden in the Prut River between the border with Ukraine and the Tetcani village for two months, June 13 included. Fishing is also forbidden in the Costesti-Stanca reservoir and in the Prut River between the dam and Giurgiulesti village and Manta ponds.
In the Nistru River, fishing will be forbidden for three months, July 13 included, between Naslavcea village and Camenca town, in the Dubasari reservoir, between the Dubasari energy plant dam and Palanca village and Turunciuc branch.
Derogation permits the fishing of mackerel, except for the 10 days of mass migration. The period will be established by Fishing Service in agreement with the specialized bodies in Ukraine.
In the Cuciurgan reservoir, fishing is prohibited since March 25 until May 31.
Unauthorized fishers can get fines up to 3000 lei and their fishing tools are confiscated.
