Five men aged between 24 and 36 were arrested on suspicion that they were involved in the murder of a 33-year-old man from Căușeni district who went missing in the summer of 2018. He was found dead in a well, IPN reports, with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Prosecutors determined that the men drank alcoholic beverages together and later, as a result of a sudden conflict, kicked and punched him and hit him with a hard object. Three suspects were identified initially. Two more were found later. All the five were charged with murder.
Deliberate murder committed by several persons carries a penalty of 15 to 20 years in jail or life.
