Five citizens of Moldova, together with ten Romanians, have been repatriated at their request through the Jdeideh-Masna border crossing point from Syria via Lebanon. The operation was coordinated by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Foreign Ministry. The approaches to transport the group of repatriated persons along the route Damask - Rafic Hariri Airport in Beirut were made by the Romanian Embassy in Damask. The persons were assisted by a team of the Romanian Embassy in Lebanon and a representative of the Romanian Embassy in Damask. The Moldovans were helped to safely reach Chisinau. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration earlier recommended that the Moldovans should avoid making trips to Syria as the state of affairs in this country worsened. Those who are already in Syria are asked to leave it as soon as possible.
