A former division head of the dairy company SA “JLC” got ten years for causing damage of over 1 million lei to the company, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In 2007 – 2009, the 45-year-old culprit bought 16 agricultural plots at the price of over 48,000 lei with money that he received from the company. Afterward, he sold the same plots to the company for which he worked at a twice higher price, earning thus illegally over 62,000 lei.
The former chief was also accused of creating false routes for drivers who collected milk. In the documents, he indicated a twice longer distance than the one covered in reality. This way, the offender took tickets for fuel to the value of over 22,000 lei from the company. He was also accused of buying milk from the population at a lower price than that indicated in the documents, gaining thus about 600,000 lei over years.
On another count, he was accused of illegally appropriating the salaries of 12 employees, of over 143,000 lei. He also received over 50,000 lei as salaries of eight employees who worked fictitiously as receivers or guards at milk collection points.
