Four drown in Costesti-Stanca lake

Four people, including two minors, died after the car they were in crashed into the Costesti-Stanca impoundment lake in Rascani district, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Traffic Police Department, the 25 year-old-driver lost control of the wheel and the car fell into the lake. As a result, the driver and three passengers, including two children aged 6 and 14, drowned. Another passenger, aged 25, managed to get out of the sunken vehicle. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service announced that it deployed 15 rescuers, including divers, for underwater investigations. The steep shore made it difficult to recover the vehicle. After three hours, the rescuers got the car with four bodies in it out of the water. The tragedy happened on August 27.
