Four minibus route administrators fined 10,000 lei each

Four minibus route administrators in Chisinau received a 10,000 lei fine each, as a result of fiscal inspections between June 19 and 20, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the deputy chief of the Principal State Fiscal Inspectorate (IFPS) Andrian Timotin, the administrators were fined because their minibus drivers didn’t offer travel tickets to passengers. Should they repeat the violation, they will receive an additional fine of 25,000 lei. The third violation will bring a 50,000 lei fine. According to current legislation, drivers must offer travel tickets to each passenger. If the passenger refuses the ticket, the driver must destroy it. Inspections will continue over the next days and will take place in the afternoon, when the minibuses are less crowded. The inspectors want to avoid causing discomfort to passengers.
