Free Wi-Fi Internet access for Soroca

StarNet continues the social project aimed at covering the public parks in the country’s towns with Wi-Fi Internet, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting Irina Ghelbur, of the company’s PR Service.
According to the quoted source, StarNet, which is one of the leading companies on the information and communication technology market of Moldova, announces the opening of new Wi-Fi Internet areas. The residents of Soroca town now have the possibility of using free wireless Internet services in the Public Garden “Petru Rares”, “Mihail Eminescu” park and in “Grigore Vieru” park.
“After the successful implementation of the project “Wi-Fi for Chisinau” in Chisinau and the success achieved in the central park and the square of the mayor’s office in Ungheni, StarNet wants to support the free communication through the Internet of the inhabitants of Soroca and improve the knowledge of using information technology. Wi-Fi StarNet enables the residents of Soroca to navigate free of charge, access useful websites, write emails and communicate with the friends through the favorite sites,” said Veaceslav Puscasu, StarNet vice director general and director of the company’s Information Technology Department.
The wireless Internet access areas in Soroca were created under a public-private partnership between StarNet and the mayor’s office of the town. The company sets up Wi-Fi Internet areas in the public gardens of different towns of the country in support of its national development strategy.
