Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said the funds needed for purchasing 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were identified. In the nearest future, the necessary procedures will be launched. The statements were made in a meeting that was called by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grechanyi, IPN reports.
The Speaker underlined the importance of completing all the procedures as swiftly as possible so as to launch the vaccination of all the people in the nearest future. It was also noted the necessity of ensuring transparency and of meeting the requirements at all the stages of public procurement.
Moldova until now received 21,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines against COVID-19, which were donated by Romania, and 14,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines of the first COVAX shipment.
