Gas explosion at villa not far from Chisinau

A 76-year-old man from Chisinau was rushed to the hospital with burns on 15% of the body, which he received in an explosion that was most probably caused by a gas leak. Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened in the morning of June 2 at the man’s villa that is located near Cruzesti village. The man tried to heat up his meal, but the gas stove wasn’t working. It seems that the man forgot to close the gas cylinder that fueled the stove and the gas exploded when he struck a match. A pile of wood fell over him and he suffered burn on only 15% of the body. He was admitted to the hospital with burns on the face, arms and a leg.
