Georgia funds construction of mini-football stadium in Moldova

The Government of Georgia this year will finance the construction of a mini-football stadium in Obileni village of Hincesti district, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction says the tender contest to buy works to design and build the stadium was held last November. The winner was chosen according to the price offer, which was about 280,000 lei. Under the contract signed by the Ministry, the Embassy of Georgia in Romania and in Moldova and the construction company, the works to design the stadium will be performed in January-February, while the construction works will start in spring. The initiative to build a stadium in Obileni was put forward by the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, following a visit paid to the flood-stricken village. The Government of Georgia also financed the construction of nine homes for flood victims in Hincesti district.
