The leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu is skeptical that a consensus on the mechanism for designating the candidate for Prime Minister will be reached during the next two days. He made such a statement after the December 18 consultations of the political leaders and the head of state, IPN reports.
“We decided to take a beak so as to reach a compromise. There is no concrete formula. The participants in the talks have their own variants. The Liberals want only a Government and Merry Christmas to everyone,” said the Liberals’ leader.
Asked if a consensus could be achieved by December 21, when the head of state is to nominate a candidate for premiership, Mihai Ghimpu said he does think that this is possible, but they will anyway try to do something.
