A minor girl aged 12 jumped out from the fourth floor of the apartment building where she lived. It happened in Rascani district of Chisinau in the evening of February 21. The girl suffered multiple fractures and was taken to the Municipal Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco”.
Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said the police were called at about 6:30pm. It was preliminary determined that the girl resorted to such a gesture after she had a squabble with her parents, who scolded her because she didn’t do her homework. The minor is not from a vulnerable family and is the only child of the couple. An investigation was launched to establish the exact causes of the incident.
Spokesman for the Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” Tatiana Stoichev said the girl was admitted to the intensive care section in a serious state and is maintained with the help of apparatus. She suffered many fractures and a concussion, but will be operated when her condition stabilizes.
