The Pro-European Coalition decided to vote for the package of anticorruption laws. In order to stimulate the judges, it will also vote for increasing their salaries. The announcement was made by representatives of the government coalition after the November 11 meeting of the coalition’s Council, IPN reports.

The meeting involved Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim and Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin. They spoke about the package of anticorruption laws that provide for testing the integrity of judges.

The head of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet told the journalists that they discussed the adoption of these laws and their implementation as well as the notion of illegally obtained property.

Deputy Speaker Andrian Candu, of the Democratic Party, said they reached a preliminary agreement to vote for the package in the first reading. Debates will be then held to exclude any possible interpretations.

The representatives of the government coalition also discussed the voting of the package of laws from the education strategy. Minister of Education Maia Sandu also attended the meeting. Liberal reformer Ana Gutu told the reporters that they aim to pass the Education Code and the education strategy by this yearned.

The package of anticorruption laws and the bill on the rise in judges’ pays may be examined in Parliament this week.
