A new version of the government services portal servicii.gov.md was launched and about 250 services classified into 13 life events, starting with birth, can be now accessed by one electronic one-stop shop, IPN reports.

Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization Iurie Țurcanu in a press briefing said the website was improved and became more citizen-friendly. The platform, which is a convergence point for all the public services, contains useful information for the citizens, entrepreneurs and others. The services are now grouped by life events, such as starting of a family, starting of a business, etc.

The official said the process of modernizing the services will also include measures to increase accessibility to public services. This way, in parallel with the digitization of services, multifunctional minis-centers will be created in settlements that are situated further from district centers. This concept is now piloted in 17 mayor’s offices in the country and in five consular offices abroad. Until 2023, the network will be extended to 80 public services units, according to this model.

The government services portal was designed in accordance with the European Core Public Service Vocabulary.

The measure forms part of the Government’s digital transformation and public services modernization agenda oriented to the citizens, with the key objective being to correctly and fully inform the potential beneficiaries of public services.
