Guard killed with stone by colleague

The 38-year-old guard of a Cahul-based company was murdered by a colleague of his and another man. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the two suspects stole 25,000 lei from the safe of the shop situated on the territory of the company, Info-Prim Neo reports. The body of the guard, who was from Colibas village of Cahul district, was found in the morning of October 22. There were signs of violent death on the body. As a result of investigations, the police identified and arrested the alleged culprits. The main suspect is a colleague of the victim. The 31-year-old man from Andrusul de Jos village of the same distinct worked as a porter. He and his friend aged 20, from Cahul town, planned to steal the money. At night, they entered the company’s precincts and drank alcohol with the victim. After a period, they started to beat the man, hitting him with a stone. They stole the money and went away. The two men face 12 to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment for deliberate murder and robbery.
