The police in Rascani raion found 480 kilograms of pickled carrot intended for sale without documents of origin and safety compliance. The General Police Inspectorate said the carrot was discovered at a fruit and vegetable canning company based in Rascani town, IPN reports.
The carrot was to be sold in shops in Rascani raion and in Balti municipality. The merchandise was estimated at almost 17,000 lei.
The National Food Safety Agency is to examine the case and to impose penalties.
